We are looking for an experienced User Interface Designer/Developer, specialized in web applications to assist in creating visually compelling, reusable templates and user interfaces of our service platform



Essential Responsibilities:

Working alongside product managers and engineers, he will help conceive of new features, rapidly prototype wireframes and mockups, and translate those ideas into full, standards-compliant HTML/CSS pages for implementation.

Utilize and extend JavaScript libraries such as JQuery

Responsible for ensuring that the site HTML/CSS passes W3C validation, and making sure that the designs are lean, clean, and usable

Ability to rapidly create visual mockups using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or equivalent design software

Stay current on latest technologies and trends in the User Experience field

Prepares status reports on all project activities.

Accurately estimates work and timely delivery of tasks

Contribute new ideas based upon the latest internet market trends



Qualifications:

Candidates should a minimum 5 years’ experience in experience of designing and delivering commercial/product websites. 

Must be a creative and hands-on user interface specialist who combines a great eye for user centered design with strong hands-on development skills

Must be fluent in all things web-design, including mastery of Photoshop, Flash/Flex, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and cross-browser compatibility best practices.

Ability to work effectively as a virtual member of a dynamic, dispersed team and to meet deadlines.

Capable of taking wireframes and rapidly moving these to visual prototypes

Experience with getting the most out of JavaScript libraries such as JQuery including plug-ins

Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment

Degree or equivalent in Digital Media, Computer Science or a combination



Desirable Requirements:

Experience with Mobile environments both HTML/CSS and Native for Android, iOS

Experience and proficiency using prototyping tools – Axure etc – to demonstrate user interface requirements

Experience with working with a wide variety of media assets such as images, video, audio

Should have previous experience of working on large eCommerce projects

Experience with J2EE and Multi-Tier Internet Architecture is a plus. 

Ability to design rich media applications is an advantage, e.g. Adobe AIR or Silverlight



Technology Skill Set:

Ability to create re-usable CSS designs

Knowledge of new developments, i.e. Object-oriented CSS 

Java script libraries (e.g. JQuery, prototype, domo)

Widget Frameworks

Tag libraries, e.g. JSTL

Re-usable design: Grids 

Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools

Flash/Flex, Action scripting (Advanced Level)
